I am in sunny Puerto Rico this week! So in my absence, I will be sharing my must haves to create the ideal closet. Today, I am starting with one of my favorite go-to pieces - jeans.  I don't think there will ever be a time when I don't reach for a pair of jeans from my closet on days when I just don't know what else to wear. Matching the correct style to the scenario is the tricky part, so I've decided to lay it all out for you!

Jeans on Weekends:  Weekends are my favorite time for jeans.  I love distressed styles & I love boyfriend jeans.  Both are casual, comfortable & perfect for running around town all weekend long. Distressed jeans get better each time to you wear them; the more worn in the better.  Hands down, my favorite pair are my Citizens of Humanity Racer jeans, featured below. 


Jeans on Date Night: For date night, I like to dress up my denim a bit. A dark wash pair of jeans is classic & can be worn with a blouse or fun top, but why not try a pair of coated jeans?  I love my black pair & wear them all the time, especially in the winter months. In jewel tones, these jeans add a bit of luxe to your look.  

 Jeans at Work:  If your company's dress code is casual enough, like mine is, you can totally wear jeans to work.  My advice in this case would be to stick to clean & classic shapes in a dark navy or black wash.  Skinny jeans are my go-to, but a boot cut or flare leg works too!
