A classic black blazer, a white blouse & dark wash skinny jeans are my top three essential pieces that everyone should have in their closet, no matter their shape, size or age. Trendy patterned tops & boyfriend jeans are fun, but when it comes to those no-fail, always classic pieces, these are without a doubt my top three.
When it comes to accessories, I tend to spend more on bags & shoes, not only because I am able to wear/use them more often than say, a top, but also because more expensive (most likely) means higher quality. I have had this Tory Burch tote for years & it has never failed me. The simple design is perfect for all occasions and the size allows me to carry a ton without looking overwhelmed or messy. Plus, of course, the black color matches everything.
Of course, I couldn't keep resist adding a pop of color to this look! These pumps, again, are expensive, but so worth it. Walking around for long periods of time in heels is not an easy feat (pun intended!). When SJP came out with her shoe line, she spoke a lot about the price point of her shoes; in order to produce a high quality, comfortable heel, you need more expensive materials. I can attest to having worn these shoes for a full day, commute included, without any discomfort!
