This look is like the epitome of fall fashion. Plaid, plaid and more plaid. It doesn't get much better than that. Since the patterns stand out so much, a pair of black leggings and black booties made the perfect bottoms. This is definitely a fun look that breaks the rules a bit :)
When it comes to mixing (or in this case, matching) patterns, I have 1 main tip. Keep at least one color constant throughout. In this case, it was black, which anchors the entire look and allows the white and red colors to really stand out and clash against each other.
Another tip when it comes to mixing and matching patterns is being aware of the size of each print. In today's look, the buffalo plaid print of the tunic top is exactly the same size as the print on my cape. You can also easily mix small patterns with oversize patterns, as seen here. The widely set stripes & tiny floral patterns contrast each other but don't overwhelm each other either.

DeleteI am mad for plaid too. Love both pieces especially the cape. Great idea to mix the two buffalo prints together. Your watch and bag are particularly gorgeous. Once again, I want everything here, head to toe.
