Towards the end of the year, I love the chance to reflect on how great the past year was. This year has been no exception. I use this blog to share a peek into my life & that's exactly what you see - a peek - all the great stuff - & 2015 has been filled with a TON of it - super fun collaborations that I am so proud to have been a part of, vacations to new places & (hopefully you agree) some great outfits ;).
It was also filled with a few major challenges that I didn't talk about this year, but changed my year immensely. My 9 to 5 job went through major ups and downs as did my relationship with J but as the year ends, I realize how much of a blessing those changes turned out to be as well. I am a better person & learned a lot about myself because of it.
To be honest, I've never really been one of those crazy NYE celebrators. I prefer a nice dinner with my loved ones over a crazy open bar to ring in the New Year. Today's look is a perfect one for a dressed up dinner with your S.O, friends or family members.
I was so excited to open up this Sachin & Babi dress from Lyon & Post. Admittedly, it was a little bit too big in the bodice, but it was too gorgeous to not photograph. I LOVE the navy blue color, the girly princess skirt and the print gave me the illusion of Times Square lights - what's better for NYE?
We were SO lucky this December with uncharacteristically warm weather. I was able to wear bare legs with skirts for a holiday party as well as knee high socks with a bunch of my dresses! It has been such a treat!
Without tights, I was really able to highlight the mesh cut out details on the skirt of this dress as well as my blue suede shoes (on repeat lately).
Dress: Sachin & Babi via Lyon & Post | Jacket: c/o BCBGeneration (similar) | Shoes: c/o Steve Madden | Clutch: similar | Sunglasses: Ray Ban
Wishing you a great end to 2015 & a great start to 2016!
XO,
Michelle Paige
This dress is everything! I don't blame you for photographing it even if it didn't fit perfectly. Just gorgeous! The added jacket is the perfect balance. Have a terrific new year! :)

First off, I am so loving this look. The mesh cutouts are awesome, and I love the print. You can't tell it's oversized anywhere as you mentioned, but if it is, get that tailored, its too good not to!
ReplyDeleteI totally know what you mean about bad situations turning into a positive learning experience. It's not always easy when you're going through it, but in the end everything works out. I went through a few this year too. Hope you have a wonderful NYE!

DeleteThis dress is to die for. I love the city lights print and the organza see-through part. Too bad is a little bit big. The blue shoes are perfect with it also. I would definitely wear it for NY Eve. =)
