If you've visited my blog before, I'm sure you've noticed that my make up routine is pretty simple day to day, with the exception of a bright lip once in a while.  As the holidays approach, I like to take my makeup looks up a notch while still looking like myself.

Eyes: On a daily basis, I just use tons of mascara on my eyes, but with the holidays approaching, I wanted to add a bit of sparkle & a smoky eye to my routine.  I stuck to using the first six shadows in this palette for a neutral look, but this eye shadow set ranges in shades from light champagne to dark charcoal gray, allowing you to create a smoky eye look that's just for you.  



Lips: We already know I love adding a bright lip to my makeup routine & the holidays are nothing different.  I chose a deep red shade, called Crazy Cranberry, that is perfect for all holiday festivities.  The main issue I run into when adding a lip color during the cold months, is that is starts to crack because of my dry lips.  Applying a lip exfoliator and lip balm before applying color helps my lipstick go on smooth and look great.


Face: During the winter & the holidays, especially when lots of photos are being taken, I swap my bronzer for a flushed blush. Since my skin is so palm right now, adding a bit of blush on the apples of my cheeks brightens up my whole face and gives me that just out of the cold, without the runny nose, flush look.
