Have you ever gone shopping for new eyeglasses or sunglasses and ended up spending an hour just trying on pairs? There are endless shapes, styles & colors to choose from and finding the perfect pair for your coloring and face shape can be a nightmare! I am excited to have teamed up with Warby Parker to share their latest winter collection, full of icy-inspired colors & flattering shapes for all faces.
Warby Parker has this amazing service called Home Try On, which is exactly what it sounds like. The opportunity to try on 5 (yes, 5!) pairs of eye glasses in the comfort of your own home at no cost!
The first pair I grabbed was a pair that looked most similar to my current pair of eyeglasses. Baker in Striped Sassafras is a tortoise colored pair of rounded lenses. This pair was a medium size frame that was super flattering on my face shape.
The second pair was a wild card pick, simply because I loved the Brushed Navy color & figured, I love aviator sunglasses so why not regular frames? It didn't really work out that way. This pair called Lionel was a narrow aviator style frame that, per J, kind of made me look like Walter White...not a great look, but hey, that's why I have 5 pairs to try!
The third pair, called Chelsea turned out to be my favorite! I wasn't so sure about Whistler Grey shade of these glasses or the slightly cat eye shape, but I loved both! I personally thought this pair looked the best on me, but was also unique in their color & style from anything I have ever worn before.
This next pair was a safe shape, but out of the box color. I knew I loved the shape of this pair because I had also chosen to try the Baker in Striped Sassafras (see above!) but just had to try them out in Glacier Grey. The name of the color was too cool too pass up, unfortunately these glasses were not as cool looking on me. You win some, you lose some.
I thought I had been saving the best for last. Wilder has medium size frames in a squared off Whiskey Tortoise shape - sounds like perfection. But I actually found this pair to be a bit dark & also a bit too square for my liking. I can see this pair looking fabulous on someone with darker features and a round shape face.
Glasses c/o Warby Parker: Pair 1: Baker in Striped Sassafras | Pair 2: Lionel in Brushed Navy | Pair 3: Chelsea in Whistler Grey | Pair 4: Baker in Glacier Grey | Pair 5: Wilder in Whiskey Tortoise
