My denim jacket was one of my staple pieces through all of spring and summer (seen here, here & here) and when I saw it hanging in my closet last week, I kind of started to miss wearing it. I decided to layer my jacket over one of my most over sized, warmest sweaters & LOVED how the look turned out.


By adding layers underneath or on top of any lightweight jacket you can make them work for the wintertime.  Like I did today, add a chunky sweater under your denim jacket, or try adding a fur vest over your jacket (seen here).  Another idea: button up your jacket and turn it into a top for the day (seen here)! Add an additional heavier coat on top of your jacket for extra warmth!

In other news, J & I left bright & early tomorrow for a long weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina!  I am so excited to visit somewhere new - tell me, what should we see/eat/do while we are there?!
