Last week, I had the pleasure of attending Tanger Outlets in partnership with People Style Watch.  When they reached out to me about this fun day of shopping, I got super bummed because I was going to be out of town on the actual day of the event, but I was lucky enough to be able to participate one day early (Thanks PSW!!) and headed out to the outlets with one of my best friends! The weather was gorgeous that day & we had our shopping shoes (aka sneakers) on, so we were ready to shop!  Outlet shopping can be slightly overwhelming since all of my favorite stores are in one place & all of those stores have huge SALE signs in the window.  Today I'm sharing a few tips for outlet shopping & sharing some of the great goodies that I picked up during our trip to Tanger Outlets!



Check for Coupons: The first thing we did when we arrived at Tanger Outlets was head to the information center where we picked up a book of coupons.  Outlet shops already have many items on sale, but an added bonus is how many of the stores also offer coupons when shopping!  (I got this Kate Spade clutch for $38 thanks to the sales & coupons!)

Have a Game Plan:  After taking a look at the directory, we made a plan of the 'top' stores we wanted to visit.  Nike, Banana Republic, J Crew Factory, Kate Spade, etc were all at the top of the list.  By looking at a map ahead of time, we were able to plan our route & waste no time looking for the stores we wanted to shop at!

Think About What You Need: When shopping at outlets, it can be easy to get caught up in all the great deals and end up spending on something you may want, but don't really need.  While shopping, I kept a virtual shopping list in the back of my mind: spring clutch, casual dress for spring (check out my J Crew Factory t-shirt dress here).  I was able to find both of these things, plus a few extra versatile pieces that can be worn again & again, like this red eyelet top - perfect for work or weekends - and some new Nike sweats, which I have been spending every second I can wearing!
