Is everyone enjoying their long weekend?  I've been super stressed out recently & caught a cold last week, so I used this weekend for lots of catching up and relaxing & it was just what the doctors ordered! I even got to visit the beach for the first time this season! Yay - summer is officially here!!

WHITE JEANS WEATHER





Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kick off to the summer, and with that comes the acceptance to pull out all those sundresses, sandals and white jeans! 3 JACKETS YOU NEED FOR SUMMER





I know, I know, a post on jackets during the summer?? Makes no sense.  But if you're like me, you spend a majority of your week in AC during the summer.  My commute to and from work includes a car, a train and a subway all including blasting AC and once I arrive to my office, it's more AC.  So I opt to wear a light weight jacket over my outfit even on the hottest days because it's likely that I'll run into the AC at some point during my day and need something to wrap around my shoulder.  Read on for my 3 must have jackets for spring and summer...

BOHO STYLE





One of my favorite styles to wear, in the summer especially, is boho.  The styles are such effortless shapes & fabrics & I am all about the flowing pieces in hot weather, so there's nothing better than a loose boho dress or flowing boho tunic top.  This particular tunic is especially great for warmer temps because of the light colors & fun floral print.  Also how cute is the lace detailing on the sleeves?  I love it! 




Boho or not, one of my favorite pieces for spring/summer have got to be my denim shorts.  I live in this midi pair of denim shorts on weekends throughout the summer - they are such soft denim and are broken in perfectly. A boyfriend or midi style of denim shorts are great for a more casual look since they are a little longer & looser than your typical denim cutoffs. Plus, they pair with just about everything from a cozy sweater during transitional weather to a striped top for a nautical feel to a tunic top for a boho outfit, like today's.
