Whether you are actually heading back to school this fall or not, the back to school sales that have been going on are one of my favorite times to shop for fall essentials.  While I love following the latest trends each season (I think velvet is going to be my favorite for fall!), the beginning of the season is usually the time that I stock up on the staples that I plan to wear over and over again.  Tobi offers a ton of great staples for the upcoming fall season. Some of my must have fall staples include:

A hat - Not only do hats hide some of my worst/unwashed hair days, but they also are so trendy for fall. I love a felt fedora as an accessory and to keep my head warm when the weather gets chillier. Every single hat on Tobi's website is under $50, so basically, I (and you) need all of them ;)

A lightweight, transitional jacket - Can we all just obsess over this perfect transitional jacket for a second? Tobi certainly got it right when they made this piece. I am obsessed with the blush color (called Toast on the Tobi website) and the draped shape.  I love that it can be a layering piece for chilly days or can be worn as the statement part of my outfit for the entire day - it's the perfect twist on a blazer jacket over a dress or jeans.

The perfect fitting denim - I know there are a ton of new, trendy denim styles, but I will never get tired of my classic skinny jeans. I love how basic and un-fussy they are so I can pair them with exciting statement pieces.  This pair from American Eagle fit me perfectly, have a ton of stretch and are great quality while also managing to be super affordable. 

Neutral ankle booties - My favorite type of fall shoe is most definitely booties.  This style is super versatile and looks equally great with jeans or dresses. I have spent months looking for new brown booties for fall after wearing last year's pair to death. I finally found a winner in this Vince Camuto pair. The heel height is perfect for walking around all day & I love the subtle fringe detail on the back. Prepare to see these on repeat all season.

 Leopard print anything - Leopard print is one of those classic prints that I never seem to get tired of. Lucky for me, animal print is staying put as a major trend for the fall season. I love using animal prints to add a pop to my outfits. This leopard tote was one of my favorite items last year & it is coming back this season.  Another great way to add a hint of animal print to your look: leopard booties.

Berry lipstick - During the summer, I really enjoyed wearing hot pink, light pink and red lip colors as a bright pop. Now that the fall season is coming, I am super excited to venture over to the dark side. For me, that includes berry lip colors & nail polishes. I love this berry lipstick by ELF (shade is Touch of Berry). It is moisturizing, stays put for hours and has the most gorgeous pigment.
