I am so excited to team up with Vera Bradley today to showcase one of the bags from their fall collection & talk about some of the most popular bag trends for fall, one being top handle satchels. As soon as I saw this bag, I knew it was the one that I needed to add to my collection for the fall. I love the structure of it but it still had a bright, fun pattern that was reminiscent of classic Vera Bradley prints.
1. Top Handle Satches. As I mentioned above, the top handle bag trend is a popular one. This style is a great one to use as a work purse since they have a nice structure to them, however this bag also looks great when paired with more casual looks. I paired my Vera Bradley satchel with a suede dress and leather jacket for an edgier fall style and loved the juxtaposition of the edgy jacket with a ladylike bag. If you are loving this bag, but not sure about the bold print, don't fret! This exact style is also available in a bunch of solid colors: burgundy, black and cognac.
2. Mini Bags. These may not be the most practical bag style but it certainly is the cutest! Your favorite hand bags have been shrunken down to mini versions and I am totally obsessed. These bags make a great alternative to a clutch, since they hold approximately the same number of essentials but don't have to be held in your hand. Many times these bags include a long shoulder strap or a top handle that can be looped over your wrist. I adore this mini quilted bag and just added it to my fall wishlist. I also happened to stumble upon the same 'Modern Lights' print that my satchel is made with in a cute cross body shape!
3. Backpacks. I have been loving the backpack trend for a few seasons now and it doesn't seem like this bag style is going away anytime soon. I love the idea of being hands free and having the ability to carry all of your essentials. Don't worry, these backpack styles aren't the same as the ones you used in school. Popular backpacks now range from luxe leather to structured shapes with grown up, modern detailing. I love this structured backpack style from Vera Bradley (the inside print is super fun) and am also obsessing over the color of this backpack. Can you say gorgeous??!
