If there's one thing I love, it's a new bag. I don't invest in new handbags all that often, so when I do get a new one, I get super excited. I recently picked visited the Vera Bradley store to check out their latest collections in preparation for an upcoming event! (More on that at the bottom of this post!) It was so tough to narrow down my favorites, but the second this velvet hobo bag caught my eye, I knew I had to have it for fall. 

Let's start by obsessing over how perfect this bag is: the useful shape, the quilting detail, the gorgeous velvet color & the convertible strap! This bag comes with an adjustable black strap and while in the store, I noticed the burgundy studded strap and had to have it. I love how it adds an edgy touch to the overall style.

A few of my other favorite fall handbag trends include:

 1. Velvet - like this bag, velvet is the perfect fabric for fall. I love pairing it with a basic look to allow the texture to stand out.
2. Backpacks - on weekends, hands free is the way to be. Sometimes I use cross body bags but for weekends on the go, I need something with a little extra room. A backpack is perfect for carrying all of my essentials and still allows me to go hands free. Love the print on this one!
3. Carry-all Tote- As a working gal, I always love a good tote bag. The larger the better for my commute and extra pockets are always a plus! Love this one by Vera Bradley (it's also waterproof!)
4. Embroidery - embroidery is still super popular and I love that it has made it's way onto bags. This one is on my wishlist.
