SPORTY WEEKEND LOOK

I'm actually not minding this Monday morning because I feel like my weekend was so busy! Let me give you a bit of a life update: I was off from work on Friday due to our summer Friday schedule but decided to head into the city to help out with a quick work project. While working on Friday morning, I got to meet Sean Avery, a retired New York Ranger player - safe to say it was a highlight of my entire career! After that I headed to the airport where I finished up my global entry process. We are going on a family trip to ALASKA this summer & will be traveling to Canada as part of the trip. I'm going to start talking a bunch about Alaska in the coming weeks: what I'm packing, what we have planned, etc & then will be working on some travel guides following our trip! If any of you have been to Alaska, please please leave recommendations & tips for me! Friday night, we headed to the Yankees game. There was a rain delay & the game went into extra innings so we were at the game until 1am, but they won so it was worth staying out late! Saturday & Sunday were full of errands - picking up goodies before we head out east for July 4th next weekend.

I had planned to wear this exact outfit to the Yankee game on Friday night but ended up wearing jeans because of the rain. I also ended up buying an Aaron Judge t-shirt because he is on fire lately! (see a photo from the game on Instagram!) Instead I wore this look on Saturday to run errands and then to play mini golf with J.

This outfit (with or without the baseball cap) is the perfect look for a ball game during the summer. A t shirt dress is comfy and keeps you cool while the denim jacket is good in case it gets chilly at all. I always prefer sneakers since the floors at arenas & stadiums get so nasty & of course, a cross body to hold my essentials.

EASY WAYS TO SHOW YOUR TEAM SPIRIT

It's the most wonderful time of the year when it comes to sports. The most exciting time in baseball is happening (the World Series), football is in full swing and hockey is back! Of course, if you've followed my blog for a long time, you know that I have a huge soft spot in my heart for the New York Rangers (see more looks here & here). THE PERFECT TRAVEL OUTFIT

We are back from our trip and while it was so tough to come home, there is nothing like sleeping in your own bed after a week away. Today I'm sharing my version of the perfect outfit to travel in. The entire outfit is really centered around these joggers - they are super comfy and cozy but don't look at all like pajamas and have an nice tailored fit.

ONE LAST WEAR BEFORE SUMMER

Back at it again with this black jumpsuit. (I told you in my last post wearing it that it was one of my favorites - so versatile!) Last week, the temperature dropped about 10 degrees and I was able to get in another wear of this awesome piece before the temps officially sky rocket for the summer. This time instead of boho, I took my own styling advice and worn this jumpsuit in a sporty fashion.

SPORTY SUNDAY

Superbowl Sunday is coming up quick and while football isn't really my sport, I am definitely excited to watch the big game because of the yummy snacks, funny commercials and amazing half time shows. I also love any opportunity to dress for an occasion - even for watching a football game! Since I don't have a particular team that I feel strongly about, I plan to re-wear this sporty look next Sunday during the Superbowl (#outfitrepeater).

I am SO excited about today's blog post because I can finally share a project that I had the privilege of working on with Boy Meets Girl over the summer. PHAT BUDDHA WEAR

Usually when I take photos for my blog posts, it's in the mornings when I'm dressed up for work: hair and makeup are done with an outfit that I go on to spend my work day in. I try to take weekends off if possible to spend time with my family & friends, but this past one was an exception.

To be honest, I'm not much of a gym person & prefer work outs that feel like fun activities, like a bike ride, a walk on the beach or a hike. Even on lazy days when I'm just running errands around town or getting my nails done, I love to wear athleisure outfits.

The most comfortable weekend outfit for me is a tank, leggings and sneakers. I have created quite the little sneaker collection for myself with different pairs of Nikes and a pair of New Balance in the last year or so, each one including some bright neon colors, so I was super excited when I got this bright neon tank from Phat Buddha Wear, since I knew it would PERFECTLY match my sneakers & sunnies.

SLIP ON

Boy oh boy, have I been obsessed with sporty looks lately! I go through these phases sometimes - where I become totally obsessed with one style - right now it's sporty. I'm not sure how long it will last or even what caused it, but I am loving backpacks and sneakers and everything downtown cool-girl right now.

BECAUSE IT'S THE CUP

It's the most wonderful time of the year - New York Rangers playoffs!

As a faithful Blue-Shirt, no item was better to celebrate the start of playoffs than my blue striped dress (except maybe my jersey, but not sure it's workplace appropriate!). Paired with sporty red & white accessories, I love this girly Ranger outfit ;)
