LABOR DAY OUTFIT + WEEKEND SALES



Happy Labor Day! Hope you all are enjoying the last official weekend of summer! I'm not so secretly hoping summer extends itself into September. I'm not ready to say goodbye to comfy shorts, sun tans & beach days. I wore this all white outfit this weekend. Both pieces are so comfy. The shorts were an American Eagle find midway through the season & the top came in a recent Stitch Fix box! I wasn't so sure about it when I first took it out of the box but once I tried it on, I was sold. It's going to be a great piece to wear into the fall as well.

EGO SHOES FOR DATE NIGHT


Due to work obligations, Jody & I never got to go out to dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary so we had to delay our celebrations! We plan to finally celebrate this week by going to a steak house for dinner & here is what I plan to wear :) 



I got a second pair of sandals from EGO Shoes & fell in love with them on the website (see the post with the first pair here). I love how simplistic the shape is but the leopard print packs a punch! Plus they are right on trend with the toe strap detail, mule style, chunky heel and leopard print! Paired with a black dress, the sandals really stand out but I also love the idea of wearing them with jeans and a tee into the fall to dress up and add some style to a casual look!

LAST FEW WEEKS OF SUMMER



I can't believe it's already mid-August!! The summer flew by and I am not ready for it to end.  While others are starting to buy sweaters & booties, I'm still purchasing sandals & shorts ;) Jody & I spent the weekend in Montauk and plan to continue to do so as long as we can. We both established this weekend that being out there is our 'happy place.' We feel relaxed, comfortable and overall content with everything when we are out east.

In other news, I just got this pair of slide sandals from EGO Shoes last week and have worn them everyday since they arrived in the mail. They are so comfortable, have the cutest bow detail on the toes & go with just about every outfit I throw on. I wore them nonstop over the weekend & love pairing them with denim shorts, sweatpants or a cute summer dress. They go with everything & are on sale right now for under $20 - how can you say no? OFF THE SHOULDER MAXI DRESS

  

We are over 1 week married!! It was the most perfect day - there's no other way to describe it! I can't wait to share more details :) 
Post wedding weekend, Jody & I both had the week off from work so it was great to spend some quality time together. Because of Jody's schedule, we didn't know he was going to have time off until less than a month before the wedding - so we didn't plan a honeymoon right after the wedding (we'll probably travel in the fall/winter somewhere). Instead we took a mini honeymoon out to East Hampton for a couple of nights. The weather was so great & it was so nice to relax after such a busy few months!
It wouldn't be a honeymoon without some new outfits so before our mini vacation, I picked up this dress from Everything but Water. I love how effortless it is!!

THE ACCESSORY TREND I'VE BEEN LOVING LATELY



If there's one jewelry trend I'm loving right now, it's statement earrings! They act as such a fun, flattering frame to your face & there are endless styles that you can try to suit your personal style. I borrowed this tassel pair from Nectar Nectar. I love the bright colors & tassel ends for summer. They also aren't too heavy which is a huge detail that I look for when I purchase statement earrings. Something tugging at your earlobe all day is a big no-no in my book so I love that these are a statement but not heavy.

WHITE HIGH WAISTED SWIMSUIT



You all loved this swimsuit when I wore it during my Bachelorette party so I thought it was only fair to share the details on my blog! I had been wanting to try the high waist swim style for a while now, but wasn't able to find one that hit at the just the right point at my waist. This one did the trick! I love how flattering this suit is & the white color is so crisp for summer!

ANOTHER WHITE DRESS & HANDBAG UNDER $100





Another start to a week, another outfit I wore during my Bachelorette weekend! I wore this adorable dress to dinner on Saturday night. It was perfect - effortless & comfortable but so trendy & cute. All my girlfriends wore black on Saturday night so my outfit really stood out which I loved ;) I paired the dress with my trusty white wedges & a cute summer-y bag. I love the denim material & palm print on it! It screams summer & was so affordable! (It's even more affordable now since it's 50% off!)

WHITE DRESS FOR SUMMER


 My Bachelorette party was this weekend! 10 of us headed out to East Hampton for a weekend. We spent time at the beach, eating, drinking, dancing & laughing. It was a lot of fun! I wore this dress to Sunday brunch during the weekend. The goal for the weekend was obviously to wear white but also to wear cute pieces that I could wear again and again this summer. This little white sundress fit the bill - I love the crochet cut out at the waist & it costs under $100!
